AMICK: Who are we?
AMICK Consultants Limited is a Cultural Resource Management (CRM) firm which specializes in archaeological concerns within the development context. AMICK Consultants Limited has been the preferred cultural resource management provider to Ontario's development sector since 1996.
The company was established by founders Marilyn Cornies and Michael Henry, who noticed a need in the industry for client focused services. Our philosophy is predicated on a client-centered core value to solve cultural resource issues in a project sensitive manner that accrues maximum benefit to the client. This has allowed AMICK to continually improve our services and focus on customer service and satisfaction. This has translated into a consistent pattern of an increased volume projects undertaken with increased efficiency.
Simply put; we get more done with less. We provide complete archaeological services ranging from Stages 1 through 4, aboriginal engagement, expert testimony, secondary plans, cemetery closures, heritage assessments and more. Consulting archaeology isn't just about the past; it's about solving problems in the present to realize a vision of the future.
What is archaeological consulting?
Archaeology is about investigating and documenting the story of the human past through the study of material remains. As consulting archaeologists, we do our work on behalf of development proponents who need to address heritage concerns as part of the approvals process. We are one of the many disciplines that participate in the land development industry in Ontario. We preserve the past en route to building a better tomorrow.
